Casino de Dinant, Belgium – Review

Casino de Dinant is a land-based casino on the River Meuse in the centre of Dinant, in the Belgian province of Namur. It is particularly interesting for visitors who want to combine slot machines with Blackjack, roulette, a restaurant and perhaps an overnight stay at La Merveilleuse by Infiniti.

In this review, we look at the current range of games, entry requirements, opening hours, food and drink options and hotel facilities. That way, you know what to expect from Casino de Dinant before you visit.

Where is Casino de Dinant and what kind of casino is it?

Casino de Dinant, also known as Grand Casino de Dinant and Infiniti Casino de Dinant, is located at Boulevard des Souverains 6, directly beside the River Meuse. It is close to the town centre, making it easy to combine a casino visit with an afternoon or evening in Dinant.

The operator is Grand Casino de Dinant SA/NV. Current information from the Belgian Gaming Commission lists Grand Casino de Dinant as a gambling establishment operated by Grand Casino de Dinant SA/NV.

What should you know about entry and opening hours?

In Belgium, people under the age of 21 are not allowed to enter casinos. Always bring valid identification, as your identity will be checked when you enter.

Regional tourist information currently lists the casino as being open 24/7. This does not automatically mean that every dealer-operated table is available around the clock, so anyone travelling specifically to play Blackjack or roulette should check table availability in advance.

When we visited, parking was straightforward and free. French is the main language spoken, while English is not necessarily spoken by every member of staff.

Which games can you play at Casino de Dinant?

Slot machines make up the largest and most visible part of the gaming selection. During our visit, we saw a separate colourful room with video slots, including Lock & Link machines, as well as additional machines near the bar and gaming tables.

Slots offer more choice in Dinant than the traditional table games. Online, you will find the same type of game in a much larger selection of slot games, although playing in a physical casino remains a different experience.

Are Blackjack and roulette available?

Yes, Casino de Dinant offers both Blackjack and roulette. Dealer-operated tables account for a smaller part of the gaming selection than the slot machines, which clearly occupy most of the gaming floor.

The number of open tables may depend on the time of day and how busy the casino is. Automatic or electronic roulette therefore provides an alternative for players who do not want to wait for a dealer-operated table, while anyone specifically looking for Blackjack or roulette with a croupier should check availability in advance.

Is there poker or bingo?

The current core selection centres on slots, roulette and Blackjack. Poker is mentioned in some older casino guides, but current information is not consistent enough to confirm that there is a permanent poker room or daily poker offering.

Bingo is also not one of the games the casino currently promotes prominently. If you are travelling specifically to play one particular game, checking beforehand is therefore more sensible than relying on older information.

What are the atmosphere and layout of Casino de Dinant like?

Casino de Dinant is not a huge resort casino, and this shapes the overall atmosphere. During our visit, the section on the right with video slots felt more modern and colourful, while the area containing the restaurant, bar, tables and additional machines had a calmer and more traditional feel.

The compact layout is pleasant if you are not a fan of enormous casino floors. Anyone expecting dozens of live tables, several floors or a large poker room will probably find less choice here than at a major international casino.

Its location beside the River Meuse gives the building a distinctive character. The river view is particularly noticeable from the restaurant, making the venue feel more like a complete evening out than simply a place to gamble.

Can you eat at Casino de Dinant?

Yes. Infiniti Restaurant is located on the gaming floor and, according to current information, serves traditional dishes; booking is recommended.

At the time of our check, the three-course Menu Infiniti costs €45 per person. The menu includes dishes such as fish, beef, vol-au-vent and Liège-style meatballs, giving it more of a brasserie feel than a simple casino bar.

The restaurant is open from 18:00 to 23:00 from Monday to Thursday, from 18:00 to 24:00 on Friday and Saturday, and from 12:00 to 14:00 and 18:00 to 23:00 on Sunday. Dining therefore requires a little more planning than visiting the casino itself.

The restaurant is one of the strongest parts of the overall experience. The service, cocktails and location beside the Meuse made a greater impression than the size of the gaming selection, although the dining area remains part of the gaming floor.

Can you combine a casino visit with a hotel stay?

Visitors who do not want to drive back to the Netherlands on the same evening can stay at La Merveilleuse by Infiniti. The hotel occupies a former convent overlooking Dinant and offers rooms with views of either the town or the garden.

The hotel does not have a full restaurant of its own, but it advertises a free shuttle to the casino restaurant. This makes it possible to explore Dinant during the day before having dinner and visiting the casino in the evening.

In our view, this makes Casino de Dinant more attractive as part of a weekend in Dinant than as a destination worth driving several hours to solely for an exceptionally large selection of casino games.

What is the difference compared with playing at an online casino?

A land-based casino is about the location, the other visitors and the pace of real gaming tables. At a Dutch online casino, you instead have immediate access to a much wider range of games without travelling or depending on whether a particular table is open.

The difference is particularly clear with table games. In a live casino, Blackjack and roulette are streamed with a real dealer, while in Dinant you are physically present at the gaming table.

Neither format makes your chances of winning predictable. Set a budget in advance, treat gambling as paid entertainment and never increase your stakes in an attempt to recover losses.

How did we assess Casino de Dinant?

For this review, we combine our own impressions from a visit with information checked again in 2026. For details that can change, such as restaurant opening hours, the operator and legal entry requirements, we use current information from the casino, official Belgian sources and regional tourist information.

This distinction is important when reviewing a land-based casino. The number of open tables, prices and promotions can change, while the location, general layout and our experience on site are observations from our visit.

For that reason, we do not state an exact number of slot machines or fixed opening hours for dealer-operated Blackjack and roulette tables when recent sources do not provide consistent information. Anyone visiting specifically for a particular table game should check current availability in advance.

Is Casino de Dinant worth visiting?

Casino de Dinant is particularly interesting if you are looking for a compact land-based casino that can easily be combined with a visit to Dinant. Its location beside the Meuse, the large proportion of slot machines and the restaurant give the venue its own character, while Blackjack and roulette provide additional choice when the tables are open.

Anyone expecting a huge gaming floor, a wide variety of table games or an extensive poker room will probably not find their ideal casino here. Dinant is better suited to an evening combining dinner, a few casino games and perhaps an overnight hotel stay.

For visitors from the Netherlands, the main practical points are straightforward: you must be at least 21, bring valid identification and expect a mainly French-speaking environment. You should also decide in advance how much time and money you want to spend gambling and stop when you reach those limits.
